Democracy Champions is a programme from My Vote My Voice that supports people with learning disabilities and autistic people to understand their right to vote and take part in democracy. It trains support workers, volunteers, educators, and community staff to have accessible conversations about voting and to help people make their own informed choices. Participants receive a half-day training session, a toolkit of resources, ongoing support, and a certificate, with expenses covered so they are not out of pocket. By becoming a Democracy Champion, individuals and organisations help make democratic participation more inclusive and accessible for everyone. Deadline to register is 31st May.
