www.ivote.org.uk aims to inspire young people to vote and, more specifically, to encourage a voter registration day in every school / college. iVote is politically impartial and has patrons drawn from across the political spectrum. The main 10 min iVote 'Why vote?' video (available for use in schools/colleges) involves major public figures directly answering questions put by 6th formers, and concludes in calls by the General Secretaries of the National Education Union, Association of School and College Leaders and National Association of Head Teachers for a voter registration day in every school/college. iVote has collaborated with www.votesforschools.com (VFS) to produce a Teacher Resource Pack to support teachers in doing a voter registration day -- including an interactive engaging presentation, engaging videos, and a 1 min animation aimed at Heads of 6th form. Other key activities include speaking to school/college 6th forms, and a video competition being judged by a high-profile panel of public figures from across the political spectrum.
