Greater London Authority (GLA)

The GLA is the regional authority for London with statutory powers to support impartial civic and democratic participation. In 2019, it has conceptualised and launched the annual London Voter Registration Week which now takes place every year, in September, with the support of all London borough electoral councils and a broad pan-London civil society coalition. It also runs Political Literacy events, an impartial Voter ID public awareness campaign and a grants programme aimed at equity - led organisations to address the equalities impact of the Elections Act (2022).
