How does the economy work?

This six-lesson Year 10 GCSE scheme of work introduces learners to key economic concepts and examines the relationship between government finance and citizens’ lives.
Learners explore what an economy is, how taxation works and how local and central government spending decisions affect public services and communities. They also consider financial risk management and the choices governments face when allocating resources.
