Education visits at UK Parliament

Education Visits at UK Parliament offer children and young people aged 4–18 a free opportunity to visit Parliament and learn more about democracy and how Parliament works. Each visit combines an engaging, curriculum-informed workshop in the UK Parliament Education Centre with a tour of the Palace of Westminster, giving participants the opportunity to learn through both structured activities and direct experience of the building.

The visits aim to help children and young people develop their understanding of Parliament, democracy and participation through an engaging experience at the heart of the UK's democratic institutions. Workshops are tailored to different age groups, with learning designed to be relevant to participants' stage of education and linked to the curriculum.

Participants attend a workshop in the Education Centre before taking part in a tour of the Palace of Westminster. The content and activities vary according to age, with visits available for 4–18 year olds. The experience gives learners the opportunity to explore Parliament in person and connect what they learn in the workshop with the historic and working environment of the Palace of Westminster.

The visits are free and are delivered by UK Parliament's Education and Engagement Service.
