How do we elect MLAs?

This lesson plan supports teachers to deliver a lesson about political parties, campaigning, and the voting system used in Northern Irish elections. Learners will research the different political parties in Northern Ireland before forming their own parties, designing a campaign, and voting, using the single transferable vote system used in Northern Irish elections to determine the winners. It is designed for learners in KS3. This is the English language version. It was made by the Northern Ireland Education Service.
