School council: Primary assembly

This lesson introduces primary-aged learners to the idea of a school council and helps them prepare to stand for election. Learners will explore what a school council does through an assembly, then use worksheets to think through their own candidacy, from what they'd like to change to how they'll present their ideas to their class.

It should be delivered as a suite, with the assembly followed by the worksheet activity.
