This lesson covers voting in person at a polling station, helping young people understand where to find their nearest polling station and the steps involved once there. Young people will learn how to locate their polling station and work through the process of voting in person, step by step. This is the sixth of seven topics.
Delivery guidance
These resources are designed to be used in order from one to seven, and can be delivered as individual lessons, or used as the basis for a longer-term piece of work. They are intended to be the basis for a series of topics to be delivered for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), this could be in a specialist setting or mainstream. As this topic may include visits to a polling station or setting up a mock polling station, it may need to be delivered over a longer period than other topics in the series.
