What is a political party?
This lesson introduces learners to the role of political parties within a democratic system. Through four classroom activities, students explore the purpose of political parties and manifestos, the role of an MP, and the priorities they would set if creating their own political party. The lesson can be delivered independently or as the final lesson in the wider Introduction to Democracy scheme of work.
