In Person School Sessions for Understanding Democracy

Discovering the Power of People-Led Change

We often learn that democracy functions through powerful elected officials making decisions on our behalf. However, there's a missing piece to this story: how do communities create change beyond just voting every few years? How can people work together, from the bottom up, to shape our society for the better?

At Naked Politics, we’re answering these questions with our free in-person school sessions. These interactive sessions are designed to help young people explore how ordinary citizens can unite to shift the dial and inspire people-led political change. At a time when trust in democracy is wavering, our sessions offer a refreshing perspective, sparking an interest in grassroots action.

Key Information

  • Geographical Reach: These sessions are available to schools anywhere in the UK.
  • Session Format:
    • Ideal for class sizes of 25-40 pupils.
    • Customizable for larger groups, such as assemblies, or for schools requesting longer, bespoke sessions tailored to their needs.
  • Duration: A minimum of 45 minutes per session, with flexibility to extend depending on the school’s requirements.
  • Target Audience: We particularly welcome enquiries from schools with young people of colour, although all UK schools are encouraged to get in touch.

Our sessions are designed to kickstart young minds into thinking critically about democracy and how communities can create change together.

If you’re interested in booking a session or learning more, please contact our administrative officer, Bella Frimpong, at bella.frimpong@nakedpolitics.co.uk.
