Democracy Rocks
This lesson plan accompanies the DEN of ENQUIRY podcast: Democracy Rocks (December 2020).
Students are encouraged to think about how much more there is to democracy than just elections by asking them to act out this poem. Aimed at Years 6 and 7. Lesson duration: 30-40 minutes.
DEN of ENQUIRY is a podcast for 9-12 year olds that uses original poetry and drama-inspired games to open up conversations about democracy, the rule of the law and individual liberty.
